My favorite books, never reviewed!

My Shelfari shelf displays 23 favorite books. Those are the ones I marked with a heart because I enjoyed reading them more than all the other books on my shelf. And reading them made me happy and sad. Those books were able whirl up the most extreme emotions. That is why I love them.

As I started blogging a little over one year ago, I never wrote a review for all the lovely books I read prior to blogging. Here is a shout out for my ten favorite books for which I never wrote a review.

On the list from top left to bottom right:

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Set this House in Order by Matt Ruff
What I loved by Siri Hustvedt
The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann
ExtremelyLoud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

  4. I think I own all of these books, even though I haven't read quite a few of them. I love Middlesex and can't wait for Eugenides' new one. I think I bought What I Loved because of a recommendation on one of your lists.

Come check out my list for the week at The Scarlet Letter.

  6. Had Middlesex on my list as well and I forget so much of that book! I need to read it again so I can review it and get my thoughts on it down properly

  7. You have some of my favorite books on your list. I haven't gone back and reviewed books that I read before I started blogging. Have you?

Thanks for dropping by my blog yesterday.

  8. Anne- No I never went back and reviewed books from my pre-blogging time. If I ever reread one of them I will do for sure.

  9. Hurray for having Jane Eyre top of your list (it's top of mine too). I also loved a few more on your list (Time Travellers Wife and Elegance of the Hedgehog and The Shadow of the Wind). Nice list :-)
